(VUSA) Day 22: Glacier National Park – St. Mary’s Lake
Today we took a drive into Glacier National Park. It is my first time here, and it is easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen; with wildflower covered meadows reaching up to craggy brown cliffs, whose mountains in turn are strewn with gravel and dotted with snowfields, it was gorgeous. We drove past the Two Medicine Lakes (there are three of them) and then on to St. Mary’s, a settlement outside one of the entrances to Glacier National Park. We took a short hike on a trail to Baring falls and St. Mary’s Lake. As I mentioned, the wildflowers were beautiful in contrast to the rugged, glacial landscape. The clear lake and the tall mountains struck me a wondrous. Glacier National Park is absolutely beautiful.
