(VUSA) Day 14: Redwoods & the Golden Gate

Today we visited the Golden Gate National Recreation Area for most of the day which included a visit to Muir Woods, home to some of the famous Coastal Redwoods, and a stop at a vista-point practically on top of the Golden Gate Bridge. Though the redwoods are not as large as Sequoias in DBH, I was awed by the height of the trees. They are very beautiful, and it is unfortunate so many have been cut down.
